Description
The SS 6.1 MLR/BNC is a transparent 6×1 BNC switcher designed for N+1 installations and other applications where composite/MPX baseband, AES-3id, or other unbalanced signal switching is necessary. Switching is accomplished using mechanical latching gold contact relays, which means that the unit can route a signal in either direction and it will keep routing signal even after losing power. The SS 6.1 MLR/BNC can be controlled and monitored locally via front panel controls and/or remotely with simple opto-isolated contact closure inputs and dry contact status relay outputs, as well with multi-drop RS-232 serial commands, or TCP/UDP commands over Ethernet.

- • Front panel channel selection push buttons with active channel LED indicators.
- • Front panel “Enable/Mute” switch can be configured to provide a safety interlock for the front panel selection push buttons, or Mute.
- • Audio/signal switching via sealed mechanical latching relays utilizing 2-form-C bifurcated – crossbar silver alloy with gold overlay contacts.
- • Remote control via opto-isolated inputs, TCP/UDP Ethernet, and/or the multi-drop RS-232 serial port.
- • Relay outputs for remote channel status.
- • BNC jacks for audio/signal I/O.
- • Removable euro-block screw terminal connectors for remote control connections, except RS-232 Serial. Necessary mating plugs are supplied.
- • Power-up selection of inputs to outputs, mute or last source selected. If power is lost, the last selected channel is passed to the output.
- • Fully RFI proofed.
- • Surge protected internal power supply, power adapter with domestic connector supplied. International power supply optional.
- • Up to two units may be mounted on the optional RA-1 rack shelf. Desktop and wall mounting is also possible.
